PREGNANT AND ALONE – NOT SURE WHAT TO DO OR WHERE TO TURN..? KNOW SOME WHO IS STRUGGLING WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF BEING PREGNANT OR CONSIDERING AN ABORTION..?

Lifeline of Southwest PA is a pregnancy help center located in downtown Beaver that provides alternatives and assistance to women with crisis and problem pregnancies. Lifeline is staffed by trained volunteers who offer caring, confidential counseling and support by phone or in person at their downtown Beaver office (see below for additional office locations). Their range of services include:

-counseling for individuals and/or their parents, boyfriend or husband
-medical care contacts
-free pregnancy testing
-help with arranging financial assistance
-help with arranging special assistance for your particular circumstances and needs
-maternity clothes for woman during pregnancy, and clothing for children up to size 3
-cribs and strollers (based on availability)
-community resources recommendations
-assistance with arranging legal aid
-agency referrals

Lifeline offices gladly accept new and second-hand items such as clothing and cribs, and sealed food products for newborns and infants (used cribs are refurbished to current standards). These welcome items will be put to good use for a mother and child in need. And please consider offering your time and resources to help local organizations like Lifeline who provide such a valuable community service. Often understaffed and underfunded, they rely on the generous support of concerned individuals looking to make a difference.
